Howard Z. Dredge Complex

The Partners for the Parks, National Trail Parks & Recreation District, and local tennis and pickleball advocates have launched a $150,000 capital campaign to stabilize the legendary Howard Z. Dredge Tennis Complex located in Snyder Park.

By revitalizing these tennis and pickleball courts, we’re ushering in a new era of enthusiastic participation in court sports and encouraging broad access to this life-long recreational activity that carries on the legacy of tennis coach Howard Z. Dredge who inspired generations of young Springfielders to take up racket sports. In addition to renovating three tennis courts, six permanent pickleball courts will be added providing a quality location for our community’s active pickleball population.

This project is another of the many dramatic improvements to Snyder Park that ensure its city-wide use as a multi-generational destination for recreational activities. Please join the other friends, businesses, foundations and community members with a donation to revitalize this recreational asset.

With your support, we can reach our goal!
